Whole Strength started in the garage of our South Nashville home in 2013. What began as a simple setup with a few barbells and a passion to help people has grown into a thriving fitness community that’s still rooted in the same mission we started with; to empower everyday people to win with their health and fitness.

We’re Ryan and Michelle Stemper, and we’ve been on this journey together from the very beginning. Back in those early days, we didn’t have much. Just a garage, a handful of friends who were willing to trust us, and a deep desire to help people get stronger, inside and out. Some of those first garage members are still with us today. They’ve seen firsthand how far we’ve come and how faithful God has been along the way...

Originally, Ryan thought his future would be personal training in a big commercial gym. But after discovering CrossFit and experiencing the power of a close-knit fitness community, everything changed. The vision became clear – to build something smaller, more intentional, and more relational. A space where people feel known, challenged, and supported. A place where transformation goes far beyond physical fitness. Our faith is the foundation of everything we do. We believe that health is a gift and stewardship is a calling. Whole Strength exists for the glory of God and the good of mankind. To serve people well, to restore health and hope, and to create a community that reflects His love through action.

As parents of three boys, we’re reminded daily that our health is not just about us. We want to set the example; to be strong, present, and ready for whatever life brings. That conviction drives us to help others do the same. Whether you’re just getting started or ready to push toward new goals, we’re here to walk alongside you. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to take the first step. We’ll meet you there.
