  2. Distract yourself. Avoid wishing for the elusive finish line. You shouldn’t concentrate on how much farther you still have to go. This will only make you anxious. Find something else to concentrate on instead. Things that have nothing to do with what you’re doing. Honestly running can be a great time to meditate. Let your mind explore.
  3. Hire a coach. Recreational running causes more injuries than any other form of exercise. This has a lot to do with people running with very poor form. Hiring a coach can help you asses your running form and give you corrective exercises to help. Work ok your technique first before adding volume.
